7 Days Uganda wildlife and Primate to Kibale Forest national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi gorilla forest park
Day 1: Kampala / Kibale forest national park
A representative from Atlas Safaris Uganda will meet your at your Hotel in Kampala after you have taken you breakfast, brief about the 7days days tours. Then start off your journey to Kibale through Fort Portal passing via Mityana and Mubende. lunch en route and continue for Fort portal reaching it late afternoon. Relax and explore the nearby Crater Lake. Ndali Lodge or primates Lodge or Rwenzori view Guest house. (FB)
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking
Wake up early for a morning cup of coffee before proceeding for Chimpanzee tracking and other primates crashing through the high canopy of the Kibale tropical rain forest. While trekking the chimpanzees, you may come across more primates and mammals like the Red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, the Blue Mangabeys, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Bush pigs, Duikers, Golden cats among others, several bird species including African Pitta, Warbler, Blue headed sun bird among others. Chances of seeing chimps in this park are 95%. After, you will come across man’s closest cousins in their family playing as they move from tree to tree .Return to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon, visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary and there you will be able to see primates including Black and White Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, L’ hoest Monkey, Grey cheeked Mongabey and Baboons among others. Return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 3: Kibale Forest / Queen Elizabeth national park and visit Katwe salt makers
After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Visit the local community salt works at Lake Katwe, a salty lake in Uganda. Get to know more about this salty lake and testing the waters of this lake is a wonderful experience for those who have never tasted salty waters. Katwe also offers excellent game viewing. Drive to the lodge for lunch and relax and later take a late evening game drive. Dinner and over night at Mweya safari lodge /Jacana lodge / Mweya Hostel (FB).

Day 4: chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and boat trip.
After breakfast take an excursion to the Kyambura gorge nearby to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees. The forested walls of the gorge are a home not only to chimpanzees, but also to red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus, giant forests hog and many different bird species, while the chambura River supports a population of hippos After lunch take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel where different animals such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and an array of water birds can be seen. Go on the hunt for the tree-climbing lions lounging on old fig trees in the Ishasha region. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya safari lodge /Jacana lodge / Mweya Hostel (FB).
Day 5: Queen - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the gorilla tracking tour segment passing either via Ishasha, the home of the tree climbing lion, or take the alternative route through cultivated expanses. This will depend on the road situation. Explore the village and the native communities if time permitting. Dinner and overnight at gorilla Resort /Buhoma homestead / Buhoma Community bandas.
Day 6: mountain Gorilla tracking
Take early morning breakfast and proceed to the Impenetrable forest for gorilla tracking. Well equipped with you packed lunch, drinking water, rain jackets, cameras, long pair of trouser preferably khaki material and jungle boots on, you will convene at the starting points for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience! The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates is unpredictable for it may take1-10 hours. Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is a worthwhile!!!! After the adventure a certificate awaits the successful tracker. The day is not easy at times and it may be strenuous and frustrating whilst trekking but appealing after encounters. Dinner and over night at Your Lodge.
Day 7: Depart for Kampala
Early in the morning, depart for Kampala passing you through the ever green and beautiful countryside of Western Uganda. En route lunch and stopover at the equator for photo graphs. If your flight is on this day, you will be transferred to the Air for your out bound flight.
